"Takes Off--Live"  Jefferson Airplane

I wore out a couple copies of Jefferson Airplane's "Takes Off" when it came out, but never got to see the band with Signe Anderson onboard...

Recently, I've revisited the recordings made during Signe's last run with the band at the Fillmore--October 14-15, 1966--and have been pleasantly surprised not only by how good the band is, but how good the recordings are...

Grace Slick's debut with the band the next night--October 16th--ain't bad either...

I'm a sucker for the Rickenbacker 12-string, and on a few of these recordings, we have Jorma on one too...love that sound of 2 twelve-strings...

I've done live versions of a couple of my favorite LPs--"Surrealistic Pillow" and Joni Mitchell's "Blue", and thought I'd give "Takes Off" a go as well...
So, here's what we have...

1. "Blues From An Airplane" Matrix, SF 2/1/68

2. "Let Me In" Fillmore, 11/25/66
